Rabbi Mendy Goldstein
Chief National Vice President, Public Affairs
Dr. Rishi Solanki
Vice President, International Operations
Rishi completed his undergraduate studies at UC Irvine and will be graduating from UCLA School of Dentistry in 2026. He is on track to start his residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery after graduation.
Service has always been a part of his life. “Growing up, I was involved in Boy Scouts and my local religious community, where we regularly worked with our communities and made meals for those without. One thing that stuck with me was how often people would smile and say they couldn’t eat the food we gave them because of their teeth.”
In dental school, Rishi and his friend founded the Dental Outreach Network, which connects underserved Angelenos with free dental care and long-term support. Since then, it has served over a thousand patients and has become the largest student group at UCLA School of Dentistry. In the future, he hopes to continue expanding his volunteer work through both local involvement and international mission trips as an oral and maxillofacial surgeon.
When he’s not with patients, Rishi enjoys working on cars, organizing events, and finding ways to stay connected to the communities that have shaped him.
Ms. Giselle Etessami
Executive Secretary
Giselle attended the University of California, Santa Barbara, receiving High Honors during her studies in Psychological and Brain Sciences, B.S., with a minor in Religious Studies. Coming from a career in acting, she pivoted to medicine, attending Johns Hopkins University to receive a pre-medical postbaccalaureate certificate. In addition to her involvement with RMDI, she currently works in an ophthalmology clinic. She has greatly enjoyed assisting Dr. Etessami on previous volunteer trips to Zambia and the Himalayas, each of which “awakened me early on in my development and impressed the vital importance of expanding access to care to fellow members of our global community.” She is thrilled to be working with a dedicated team to expand the dental profession’s ability to “save teeth and change lives throughout the world!”
In her spare time, she loves to paint, garden, play guitar, and spend lots of quality time with her family and two really cute cats.
